Specs:
The Ultimate Trailer Jack has a wide range of adjustability and it is easy to use, making it a dependable choice for your A-frame trailer. Its adjustable design allows for maximum clearance, drastically reducing the potential for damaging hang-ups. The jack also features an outer tube that extends to provide extra lift. This removes the need for common space fillers while providing a sturdy base of support. With this jack, the hassle of dealing with drop legs, bulky blocks, or heavy bricks is a thing of the past.
The Ultimate Trailer Jack has a compact profile that allows the jack to remain flush with the trailer frame when it's retracted. This prevents the jack from catching on uneven terrain while you tow, protecting both the jack and the trailer from damage. No longer do you have to worry about bending a jack on a back road or in an unmaintained parking lot.
Oftentimes, damage from snags and hang-ups occurs because the jack isn't fully retracted. It can be difficult to see if a standard jack is fully retracted because only the inner tube extends down for use. This means that the height of the visible portion of the jack, which sits above the trailer frame, doesn't change when the jack is extended. As a result, it can be easy to overlook whether or not the jack is still extended.
The Ultimate Trailer Jack offers a simple solution for this. If the jack is raised above the trailer frame, it is in the stowed position. If the outer tube is not visible above the trailer frame, then you know that the jack is still in the support position, and it must be retracted and raised before you can hit the road.
Once you have arrived at your destination, setting up is a breeze with the quick-release jack tube on the Ultimate Trailer Jack. Dropping the outer tube will give you up to 12" of lift to ensure solid contact with the ground. The ability to drop the jack tube removes the need for space fillers like blocks, bricks, or a drop leg when using the jack.
The outer tube also provides a sturdy alternative to a standard drop leg. Traditional drop legs average about 1-3/4" in diameter. But the outer tube of this jack measures 2-1/4" in diameter. The result is a base that is far sturdier and more stable than that of a standard drop leg jack.
On a standard drop leg jack, the release pin is tucked away under the trailer frame. The release pin on this jack is conveniently located right above the mount for easy access. In addition, the pin on this jack is spring-loaded so that you don't have to remove the pin to drop the tube. Instead, just remove the clip from the quick-release pin and grab the built-in, easy-to-grip handle. With a firm grip on the jack post, pull on the pin handle and then rotate it 180 degrees. Lower the post to the desired position and rotate the pin handle back to lock the outer tube in place.
Once you've dropped the jack tube into the desired position, you can get up to an additional 15-1/2" of lift by cranking the jack. When you are ready to pack up and hit the road again, hitch the trailer back up to your vehicle, retract the jack's inner tube using the crank, and reposition the jack back up into the mount so that the bottom is flush with your trailer's frame.
To maximize stability, outfit the jack with an industry-standard footplate (included) or caster (sold separately).
The jack screw of the Ultimate Trailer Jack is built with ball bearings that roll smoothly along the threads of the screw shaft and the nut. This eliminates direct surface-to-surface contact within the screw. This produces far less friction along the threads, leading to a reduction in heat and wear, as well as noise. The overall result is a jack that can be raised and lowered faster, smoother and more efficiently, and with less effort.
A trailer jack is designed to lift the tongue of your trailer so you can connect the trailer coupler to your hitch ball. To do this, you'll need a jack with a lift capacity high enough to handle your trailer's tongue weight.
Tongue weight is the amount of weight that your trailer applies to the back of your tow vehicle. Typically, your tongue weight should be 10-15% of your total trailer weight (trailer + cargo). In other words, a 10,000-lb trailer would have a tongue weight between 1,000 lbs and 1,500 lbs. For a trailer this size, you would need a jack with a lift capacity of at least 1,500 lbs.
It's okay to have a jack with a weight rating that is higher than your trailer's tongue weight. In fact, a jack with a higher lift capacity should operate more efficiently, allowing you to spend less time cranking and more time camping.
Every jack offers a certain amount of lift or travel. Screw travel is the distance the jack extends when you crank it (or toggle it to "extend" on an electric model). Some jacks include a drop leg for extra adjustability. On these jacks, you'll see the maximum extension of the drop leg listed in the specs as well. Adding the screw travel and drop leg travel together will give you the total lift. The total lift listed above can help you determine how high this jack will be able to raise your trailer.
This is a replacement for the original jack on a utility trailer that is lifted 6" for use on rugged roads (4 wheel drive). The Ultimate Trailer Jack provides excellent clearance to the ground when traveling on highly uneven roads. When parking the adjustable jack can be extended down then cranked down further to lift the hitch from the tow vehicle without blocks. With the removable wheel option an additional 6" of lift is available.
Note: The mounting plate slots for bolt mounting are very tight when using the existing bolt holes on the A-Frame of the trailer.
I love this so far. So nice to be able to adjust it out and pull it out to get the tailgate down.

Love this jaxk
Modified this so we could take it all the way out of the mount instead of just lifting it. We also put an extra lock pin on the end of the included pin so it can’t be removed/bumped by the kids and drop to the ground unintentionally. Now we can open the swing gate on the back of the bronco while connected and store the wheel/shaft in the trailer while driving. Best solution as this is much more stable than a side mount, especially when manually maneuvering the trailer while unhooked from the vehicle

No issues, still working great and just as sturdy as new. Last weekend, so stated it was the best mod we made to our trailer.
If memory serves me, this is the third ultimate trailer jack I’ve bought from eTrailer. The jack is such a great product and easy to use. Thank you eTrailer.

That's awesome to hear, Brett! I can totally agree with you about this jack. It's really one of the best ones out there because of all the adjustments you can do with it.
Love this jack I can lower it down and open the tailgate with no problems of hitting the gate I could not do this with my old jack.

Grate its is the best trailer jack I have ever had. Before I could not open my tailgate when the trailer was hooked up to the truck with this jack no problem
Locking pin will prevent dropping down while towing. Easy to install.

Yes, it is great how easy it is to swap out an A-Frame style jack ScarletKnight! Install looks great!
So far so good but we have one issue with it, i couldn't tighten the screws that hold it to the trailer for the reason it binds up amd does not allow the hitch go up or down so I will have to figure out how I can get it to work properly
The trailer jack and the pintle hitch that I purchased from you is just what I was looking for. I am completely satisfied with the quality of these parts
Watched a YT video before purchasing this trailer jack. It helped me make the decision to try it. I installed it yesterday (4/2/2026). Very happy that I purchased it. It works as advertised. The only issue is that the bolts heads were very close to the jack body due to the existing holes in my trailer. Not a problem with using an open end wrench.
My new trailer jack is great and exactly what my trailer needed. My order processed and shipped ASAP.
I love the fully retractable support column feature. This avoids any scraping when going over uneven terrain. Was an easy install.
Great customer service. I had a really hard time finding one that fit and they helped find the one and it’s perfect. Thank you!
I have a Jeep Wrangler and the back door would not open because the neck of the jack that came with the trailer was too tall.
This neck - when lowered all the way, does not impeed the door from opening.
I talk with a rep before ordering. She was very helpful and got me the correct product.

Sounds like the perfect fit, Michael! What are you usually hauling with your trailer?
I have a 14' utility trailer I use to transport my Yamaha Wolverine Side by Side. I tow it behind my pickup and my motorhome. It is normal for me to travel some questionable dirt roads. As a result I bent the original jack several times and actually had to replace it once. It didn't retract far enough, it left an inch or two hanging below the A-frme tongue. Sometimes a steep driveway approach would catch it and bend it. When I destroyed the replacement jack I decided it was time to look for a solution.
I spent a few more bucks and got the Ultimate Trailer Jack. It retracts above the bottom of the A-frame tongue so the jack is protected. Problem solved!
I recommend this trailer jack to anyone that has a clearance issue that results in dragging your trailer jack.

The Ultimate trailer jack is simply “The Solution” for those who have bent a center mount trailer jack that doesn’t fully, completely retract above the trailer frame. I haven’t had any problem with jack clearance since I installed an Ultimate trailer jack. It was necessary for me to use Allen head hardware to mount my new jack because of the bolt pattern on my Big Tex trailer.
With slight alteration of my a-frame, I was able to successfully install this able trailer jack. Beforehand, I had a center-column jack that required extensive cranking to lower and raise the foot. My trailer hitch is 22" high. This jack stand has sufficient lift to accommodate my trailer. Also, it makes coming and going so much easier because of it's column-slide mechanism. It was worth the cost and installation. In my case, I had to buy a burr bit to increase the diameter of the 2-1/4" hole on the gusset below the top plate to accommodate the sliding action of the new jack. Initially it bonded. I increased the diameter to about 2-1/2 inches for sliding clearance. I also greased the column "track valley" slightly, to ease vertical sliding. I considered many other jacks, but for my purpose and for my trailer, a 2024 Taxa Cricket Overland, this jack satisfies my needs. Note, the dual wheels do not come with the jack.
Mine arrived with a drill bit end broken into the release handle. In fact, the drill bit was what was holding it together. I don't know what a production unit has in that through hole (a roll pin?). Regardless, it isn't something you want to find in a new jack. After I punched it out, I added a snap ring pin to hold it in place. One other comment would be that the foot needs to be unbolted in order to remove the jack. Ideally a locking pin would have been better than the bolt for a "no-tools-needed" removal.

Aside from my initial findings, this has been a joy to use. I love the fact that I dont really need to haul that extra block of wood everywhere and can quickly pop up or down the jack for stowage or use.
I have been looking for some solution to my tailgate hitting my jack for a while. The solutions of a swing out jack don't work well for me as it would have to be too far off center for my comfort and on the outside of the tongue due to the breakaway box and spare tire. Found this and my dreams were fulfilled. Installed in minutes in place of my original jack. Easy to use, an excellent tool!

Still great! I occasionally lube the slide and pin with dry lube. Best manual trailer jack I have ever owned.
This product worked excellent for my needs and is as advertised. It has a nice finish and works smooth. When matched with a foot plate JF-100-ZBK, it provides a low profile while in transit.
A couple things to note: the extension tube is 2” OD, the main body is 2 1/4”, and the mount tube is 2 3/4”. While the mount has a slotted holes for mounting to existing holes, my pattern of 3” center hole to hole (1.73” circumcircle radius), was about the minimum as a socket did not have space on a bolt head and an end wrench was required to tighten them; anything less will likely require drilling new holes. Lastly, the Jack has fine threads that raise and lower slowly, but is negated by maximizing the extend ability with quick pin.

Its structure and finish have held up well
This is an excellent replacement for the jack on my Legend 16' V-nose with aluminum frame, it was easy to install, mounting flange matched perfectly. This style trailer sits very low and has always been a headache going in and out of gas stations, ect. The original style Jack foot hits "sometimes very hard," even when the jack is cranked all the way up. Now I rotate the top pin, remove the bottom foot pin and remove the complete Jack and store it in the back of the truck, takes 30 seconds.

After a year of using this Jack I have to say Im very pleased. It has worked as advertized and has held up well. I would definitely recommend it as a replacement Jack.
Grind the washers a bit on one side and works great on a Bulldog hitch. Really liked the way it moves out of the way of the tailgate. Would buy again.
Finally... (at least to my knowledge) a company has produced an affordable, heavy duty, well built and "SMARTLY DESIGNED" trailer jack for light to medium duty trailers. The "pin secured" telescoping leg is fantastic... cutting down on hand cranking until one is dizzy! Having just rebuilt my deck-over 7K lb. trailer with a new axle, e-brakes, heavy duty stabilizers, and over-under axle kits (all from etrailer)... all that was needed was a good trailer jack to replace the weak and damaged original... now I've got that too and the rig is set to go! I have several work trailers for my equipment, hauling and dumping... they will all feel the love of etrailer as necessary.

I couldn't agree more with you about this jack, Dennis! The adjustable bracket is such a game changer and make it easy to mount on just about any trailer. It also sounds like you did a good overhaul on this trailer with all the upgrades and replacements you have done so far! Any other trailer projects on the horizon?
I would happily give it five stars if they would have had the product capabilities listed properly. 2 in feet fit this Jack beautifully.#PS1400700340. See pictures. Love the Jack being able to move it up and down not having to screw it up and down forever or put wood underneath

Still works great
The low profile allowed by the drop pin adjustment is great! The capability to lower a tailgate with a secure jack (not a frame side bolt-on) has been elusive.
Good quality and fast shipping
Towed bike trailer to Florida in Feb was able to remove jack to keep it out of the salt and weather

Glad we could help, Larry! Out of curiosity, are you using the trailer to camp in, or just to haul gear? And where are you typically off roading?
